Megan Clark

Megan is a dedicated career prosecutor with over 15 years of experience in the field.  Following her natural passion for working with vulnerable populations, a large portion of her time as a prosecutor has been spent prosecuting with crimes against children, sexual abuse and assault, and intimate partner violence.  Upon being elected to serve as the Commonwealth’s Attorney of Prince Edward County, Megan has worked to bringing awareness of the nuances of prosecuting these cases, as well as ensure law enforcement and prosecutors understand the ever-evolving challenges of these prosecutions and accompanying investigations.  Megan serves on numerous faculties for the Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council, the Virginia state agency providing statewide training opportunities for prosecutors and law enforcement officers.  She sits on numerous boards, whether through volunteering or being appointed by a state governor or Supreme Court of Virginia.

In 2024, Megan was recognized as an Influential Woman in Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.  She has also received the 2023 Michael R. Doucette Lecturer of Merit Award from the Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council, and the 2018 Longwood University Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
